Tri Whole Health: Nutrition, Hydration and Coaching
TRI WHOLE HEALTH PHILOSOPHY:
TRI WHOLE HEALTH APPROACH:
1) Exploration of relationships to food and fitness:
Our relationship to food and physical fitness is impacted by our emotions. Our emotions to the feeling of hunger, need for comfort and control in our lives can lead to both healthy and unhealthy choices. We also bring preconceived ideas of what "exercise" means. Problems arise when our approach to food disables health rather than enables it or when we don't know how to get active. A guided exploration of these relationships is important in the process of change.
2) Building Nutrition Tools:
Creating nutrition should be fun. There are many ways to healthy eating but sometimes we lack the skills to know where to start or what is important. My goal is to guide you with a hands on approach through ways to understand how to create, explore and nourish your body with the stuff it loves. I do not subscribe to diets, fads or anything that says this is “the way”. The way is created by you and will become you.
3) Get moving:
Our bodies love movement. Once moving you will never want to stop but it can be very hard to get going. I will work with you to start the process of active living and create a program that will become lifestyle. Most important in this process is that movement give energy not take it away. If you are already an athlete that wants to bring your performance to the next level or undertake new goals, then I will guide you in this journey so that it is safe and remains fun.
4) Change:
My work is done when transformation of lifestyle occurs or when you achieved your goals. I will be your guide until you have the tools and confidence that the change is you. The path is not straight and change will not happen overnight. But change is possible and the work done rewarding. Please visit my website at http//:www.triwholehealth.com for more information.
- There is no prescribed diet. Nutrition is based on the preparation and consumption of whole foods.
- Activity and training should give you energy not take it away.
- Active health is a way of life. There should however, be purpose and intention in training to be at your best performance.
- Physical injury can happen but there are tools/exercises to prevent the most common ones.
- Mental health is as important as physical health. Developing a practice for yourself to check in, maintain balance is critical to overall health and well-being.
